The International Day of Peace—The Proposal
A Week-Long Series of Events: September 21-26, 2015
PLANS FOR 2015 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
Each year the United Nations (UN) celebrates the anniversary of its cease-fire initiative that begin on September 21, 1989 called the International Day of Peace. Millions of individuals have, through their affiliations, organized around the need to create peace initiatives through a variety of programming and events. This year’s theme, Partnering for Peace: Dignity for All, invoked the need to do more by helping to facilitate a series of conversations throughout the week at various locations. These planned events are being developed by individuals who, through their organizations or affiliations, partner with one another to engage the public in activities that will promote actions for the future.

Our Mission: all. To interact with members of the Houston community to intentionally build stronger coalitions to foster intercultural and intergenerational relationships across the greater Houston area.
